A little further up the road is the Fort Mandan Historic Site where the Lewis and Clark Expedition stayed during the winters of 1804 and 1806. Also nearby, is the Cross Ranch State Park, Fort Clark Historic Site and the Knife River Indian Village Historic Site. These are all located along one of the only stretches of the Missouri River not changed by the many dams built on the river. Please come and experience it all this year at the North Dakota Fur Takers 2007 Rendezvous!!!
